The steel structure for the new Home Depot at Duck Creek Plaza takes shape under blue summer skies. The national hardware chain will be the primary tenant in the rebuilt shopping area just west of Interstate 74 and north of Middle Road. This photo is looking southeast.

Students clean-up shoreline

Bettendorf students in the summer outreach program take time to clean up litter along the Mississippi River shoreline at Leach Park. Thanks to the students, participants in the annual Father's Day Ride the River will see less litter on their route Sunday (June 15).
