Snake Hill reconstruction

Construction crews from Hawkeye Paving complete a 450-foot pour on 8th Street (Snake Hill) in Bettendorf. The street reconstruction was needed after spring rains undermined portions of the road. With the east side of the street complete, work now will begin on the west side of the road.

Tanglefoot extension

The extension of Tanglefoot from Devils Glen east to Middle Road takes shape. The new segment will provide another east-west link for motorists on the east side of the city, and open up the area development of property on both sides of the street.

Ducks on the shore

With the hot weather, the ducks at Leech park are content to sit on the shore and occasionally cool off in the river. In only a few short months, the canadian geese will be joining the ducks on their annual trek south.
