New principal assignments at Bridgeview, Pleasant View

The Board of Education January 21 approved the transfer of
Don Dehner from his position as Principal of Bridgeview Elementary to Principal of Pleasant View Elementary and Brian Strusz from his role as Athletic Director at Pleasant Valley High School to Principal of Pleasant Valley Junior High for the 2002-03 school year. Both appointments will become effective July 1, 2002.

Mr. Dehner is completing his 30th year in education. He served as the
sixth grade instrumental music teacher in the district from 1979-1995
and from 1995 to present has been the principal of Bridgeview
Elementary.

Mr. Strusz is completing his sixth year with our district. He taught
mathematics and coached at the Junior High and High School from 1996-98,
served as the Junior High Dean of Students from 1998-2000, and High
School Associate Principal/Activities Director from 2000-present. Prior
to coming to Pleasant Valley, Mr. Strusz taught and coached in Minnesota
and Durant, Iowa.
