Brown scum and discarded cans and other debris collect along the Mississippi River shoreline at the foot of 6th Street, Bettendorf.

A thick layer of brown scum collects along the Mississippi River seawall near Lindsay Park Yacht Club, Davenport. The river level is expected to rise above flood stage this week from snow melt in the Northern Plains.

Ducky weather

The foggy weather recently has been perfect for ducks who frequent the Leach Park riverfront. Warmer weather has reduced the snow cover and left streams swollen from the runoff.
