Isle of Capri plans purchase of Vicksburg casino for $80 million

The Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., announced plans Tuesday (April 6) to purchase the Vicksburg, Mississippi gambling casino and hotel from Bally Technologies, Inc. for $80 million cash.

Bally, based in Chicago, is the leading designer and manufacturer of slot and video machines and the Rainbow Hotel Casino in Vicksburg is its only gambling facility.

Isle stock was up nearly 10 percent for the day to $9.61 a share. Isle of Capri owns 14 casinos in the U.S., including the Rhythm City in Davenport and the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf.
