The Bettendorf High School Wrestling Team sent only two students, brothers Anthony and Alex Bribriesco, to the state meet.
Anthony, a 152-pound wrestler, lost in his first match against the defending state champion, Johnny Galloway. Alex, a 130-pound wrestler, also failed to advance past the first round. Bettendorf tied with one point for 52nd place with Davenport Central at the tournament.

The Attorney Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Iowa has sanctioned a former attorney for the City of Davenport for allegedly withholding information from select city aldermen.
