ï Retired from managerial position in the Office of Economic Development, City of Davenport.

ï National certifications in economic development and economic development finance; board service at state and local levels.

ï Additional work in tax policy for the State of Illinois, and in university teaching.

EDUCATION

ï Bachelor's degree, Philosophy, Cornell University

ï Two master's degrees, East Asian Studies and History, Yale University

ï Foreign Residence: While studying and writing, lived in England, France, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan

Wife Connie Sauer-Adams, retired school administrator; daughter Caitlin, college teacher and administrator; stepsons Greg and Tom Sauer, professional musicians and teachers; three grandchildren.

Vote September 13 at Riverdale Heights Elementary School, 2125 Devils Glen Road
