Bettendorf relied on the strong inside game of Andy Brooks and Mike Vandello to remain unbeaten in the MAC conference with a 69-52 win over Assumption Tuesday (2/8). The Bulldogs pulled away from the Knights in the third quarter by limiting Assumption to one shot on the offensive glass and going inside to Brooks and Vandello. The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its playoff pairing and Bettendorf received a bye in the first round. The Bulldogs will face the winner of Burlington-Muscatine contest March 4. On the other half of the playoff pairings, Pleasant Valley received a first-round bye and will play the winner of Davenport Central-Davenport West March 4.
