Hear oral arguments in Iowa League of Cities lawsuit vs. the U.S. EPA over sewage 'bypass' issue

The legal tussle between the Iowa League of Cities and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over so-called sewage "bypass" regulations was argued last month before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis.

The three-judge panel took the case under advisement and is expected to issue its decision in the matter before the end of the year.

The attorney arguing for the Iowa League of Cities is John C. Hall, of the law firm Hall & Associates of Washington, D.C. Arguing the case for the EPA is Adam J. Katz. The three-judge appellate court panel hear the case is comprised of Judges Lavenski R. Smith, C. Arlen Beam and Raymond W. Gruender.
