Bettendorf's Middle Park lagoon is getting a makover to remove years of silt from runoff into the shallow pond. In addition to dredging, the lagoon walls and sidewalks are being rebuilt and a series of check dams north of the lagoon have been installed to prevent silting of the pond in the future. The project is expected to cost more than $450,000.
